Competition Results 2017

Greencastle’s Open Week continued to attract large numbers of visitors throughout the week with several among the prize-winners.  The quickening greens resulted in the best score of the week on Monday with Joe McCafferty’s 44 points winning the O’Neill Bros Open Stableford.  An unremarkable 4-over par front nine was followed by a brilliant level par back nine for Joe’s second prize of the week.  Full results were:

Eamon Kelly had his best round at Greencastle winning the Moville Tool Hire Open on Tuesday by a single point with a score of 41.  The birdie at Bovaird’s was the key to Eamon’s narrow victory.  Full results were:

The popular Gillen’s Supermarket 4Ball Open on Wednesday attracted the largest entry of the week so far and competition was fierce with two pairs of visitors from City of Derry fighting it out for top spot.  Full results were:

Next weekend sees the Annual Moville GAA Teams of Four Classic on Saturday 24th June, one of the club’s most popular events.  A few times are still available and may be booked by contacting the club on 0749381013.  An Post Moville are the sponsors of the Gents Open Stableford on Sunday while the Donegal Ladies Senior Alliance have the tee from 11am until 3pm on Monday.
