Rule 19 b) A member whose subscription is unpaid by 1^st May shall not be eligible to compete in any club competition.    

Greens

Rakes In Bunkers / Rakes Outside Bunkers?

There are no rules regarding where to leave rakes for bunkers. There are recommendations provided by the R & A, but it is for each club to decide as they wish, depending on their own situations. Our greens committee have decided that rakes should be returned to and left in the bunker after you have played your shot.    

Competitions

 

Chip – In and Win

The club is running a prize draw and it is somewhat suitable titled Chip – In and Win. Posters are erected in the clubhouse, and here is the summary of what it entails. There are three major prizes of five, three and one years membership of the club. There will be a further 10 prizes of €100, which equates to getting your money back. The draw will take place on the night of the Captains Drive In 2013. All participants must have contributed €100 to be in the draw, and this amount can be paid up using the envelopes specially printed up for the draw.   The prizes are transferable, and there is no cash alternative for the three winners of the main prizes.     The GUI are using Greencastle as one of the qualifying venues for the Pierce Purcell Shield on Sunday May 13^th, little over one month away. The course will be closed for the competition until 2.30 and there will be no club competition. For those of you who want to play somewhere else that day, I have checked on the GUI website and Strabane have an open singles stableford on with an entry fee of £10. Omagh also are running an open stableford with a similar entry fee.
